Autumn is a wonderful season for children to explore the changing colours and textures around them, and to observe the natural world as it starts to close down a little as we approach winter. Do you know that frogs go into their version of hibernation this month which is called brumation?  Some will sleep in nooks and crannies at the edge of ponds while others will hibernate at the bottom of ponds.
